Community School Sports Program
Heatherwood School is committed to help all students become more active. The intention of the Community Sports Program is to provide families with a place to go to find local sports clubs that offer all abilities sports programs.
The Aims of the Community Sports Programs are:
- To improve health and wellbeing of Heatherwood students through extra-curricular sporting activities,
- Widen the social connections between Heatherwood families and local community groups,
- Increase support and develop networks for current students,
- Increase sustainability of health and physical activity after school years into adulthood for students and families.

Disability Sport & Recreation
Disability Sport & Recreation works with local government and organisations to help support individuals accessing sport and recreation activities they wish to engage with. DSR are a great organisation that can help find a sporting group for your child or simply provide advice on all ability's activities in your area. They are a great starting point for families looking to get their child involved in sport and recreation.For more information
