Physical Education helps improve fitness, coordination, motor skills, team building and skill acquisition. This provides a basis for students to access sport and recreational activities in the community. The skills acquired enables students to participate in team sports including:

Through our Outdoor Education Programs students are involved in decision-making and problem solving activities. They become aware of hazards and dangers and actively participate in a range of challenging activities that further enhance their leadership skills.

A Recreation and Sports Programme enables Heatherwood students to participate in many inter-school sporting competitions, these include - football, cricket, basketball, netball, soccer, athletics and cross-country.
